Did you see our ad in the Observer about our 3rd Annual Chippy China Sale on Saturday, July 10th??? Whoops! July 10 is a Friday, not Saturday...
We will start the sale on FRIDAY, July 10 and run it through Saturday or until all of it is gone.
For this event we bring out chipped plates, cups without saucers (and saucers without cups), crazed dishes, broken platters and even some perfectly good "left-over" china left over from estate sales - then we sell it for $1 per pound. I set up an old scale and you gather and weigh what you have a use for, rounding to the nearest quarter pound.
My creative customers have more ideas than I do - breaking it up further and doing mosaic work is an obvious use, but it's also great for jewelry making and other crafts.
Plates are great to use under plants or to line the garden walk. Odd bowls work as cat dishes. The flow blue plates above would be lovely on display in a cupboard. A pretty saucer works as a soap dish or to hold jewelry.
We open at 10 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturdays. There will be no early sales. My supplies are limited, so come early for best selection.
Regards!
Mary
