Mixed with pale yellows, pastels and white they create a fresh palette. In this picture of our center table at FOUND, you see gavanized tin in the background, new wire baskets and balls, a vintage gray vase with pink interior. The table cover is a muted silver wrapping paper. Nothing dreary about this combination.
Below are 100+ year old tin ceiling pieces with original chippy white paint. These antique metal sheets can be repurposed, reused by framing for wall art or made into bird house roofs or ?? If you need tin ceiling corner sections, we also have them!
When my parents built their home in the early 1950s, for the bathroom Mom selected modern gray wall board and a pale yellow tub and toilet. Last year she enlarged and totally redid that room - in this new millenium, those colors are her new palatte. 50 years and it's back with a fresh twist. More about that in the next post.
Warm regards!
