When I say "great photos", I'm talking about the exhibition now at FOUND, not the photos I've taken of the photos in the exhibit... My pictures are out of focus and taken late at night with a flash, unlike the intriging images captured by members of the Ann Arbor Area Crappy Camera Club. 4 members of this unusual group of photographers are showing their work at FOUND through October 13th.
Please join us at FOUND for a reception this Friday, October 3rd from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Read all about this club, their mission and find lots of interesting photography links at www.crappycameraclub.org Then come to the reception to view the exhibit and mingle with club members.
Then on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 4), the crappy camera club will present free workshops! Follow this link and click on FOUND workshops for details.
I originally started bringing cameras into the shop because I like the look of them in collections. Then customers who were actually shooting film with the old cameras started coming in to the shop. At this reception and the workshops, you can find out which old cameras can actually be used, hear about toy cameras, pinhole cameras and what photographers are refering to when the mention "the brick". I was thrilled when we were asked to collaborate with the club on this projecct. I'm learning a few things...
Hope to see you at the show and workshops.
Regards!
Mary
p.s. guess I need to have Mike teach me how to actually use this digital camera...
